Probiotics
Probiotics are live micro-flora supplements given to improve the balance of beneficial micro-flora in the intestinal tract.
Importantly they are entirely natural substances. All animals, including man, have a large and complete population of bacteria and other micro-flora in the intestine, which are essential for the healthy functioning of the gut.
How do Probiotics Work?
Evidence exists that Probiotic micro-flora suppress harmful bacteria such as E.Coli and Salmonella. They are also engaged in beneficial activities such as essential Vitamin production and digestion of food components. They may also have an important role in disease prevention by stimulating the immune system.
When Should Probiotics be Used?
As the aim with Probiotics is to restore and maintain normal gut function, they should be used whenever gut balance is upset. Below are some examples of situations likely to upset gut balance:

Our Probiotic is a soluble powder for addition to the animals daily food or water and is suitable for all animals. It contains Protexin & Dextrose and is used whenever animals require the rapid establishment of beneficial micro-flora in the gut.
To promote normal digestive function add to the food or water for as long as considered necessary:
