Dosage methods & rates

Daily dose for Commercial Flocks:

Chickens, Ducks, Game Birds:-

50 ml per 1000 birds.

Turkeys, Geese, & other large birds:-

75 ml per 1000 birds.

Remedies are administered via the water header tank &, if possible, stirred. There is no need to turn off water as continual dilution is quite acceptable.

Some farmers choose to dose the water supply at "lights out" time, then the remedy has time to mix into the volume of water, then, at first light, birds will all drink & get a good dose.

Smallholders

Use 5ml for up to 100 Hens into clean drinking water, or single spray for individual birds. Why not get a kit which includes eight 30ml spray bottles which can be customised to your requirements. It is also more cost effective than purchasing eight individually.

Pipe & Tap Kits

Should your water tank be too high to reach safely on a daily basis, we are able to supply a pipe & tap kit that will fit between the remedy container & the tank, so that you can pump the remedy directly by opening the tap & pressing the pump dispenser. (The pipe should be placed close to the water inlet of the tank to enable effective mixing of the remedy)
