We have been rearing Turkeys for the Christmas market for over 60 years. Four years ago we used Avian Health for the first time. We first used the Flock Specific Avian Health Remedy, with good results. We found out that the birds were short of Amino Acids found in fishmeal. Crossgates came up with the remedy to beat all remedies, Feather Care, as soon as the birds were given this our losses were down from 8 to 10 birds a week to 1 or 2, & these birds were not being cannibalised.

Using Avian Health (Turkey) Flock Specific has given us good healthy organic birds and no worries. The birds showed no stress and converted their feed well. Before killing we used Avian Calmer for 4 days and the birds were much better to catch, they plucked brilliantly and their meat was great, I am sure it was the calm atmosphere created at killing. We started using Avian Health (Turkey) 4 years ago and have had no cases of Blackhead since. Mortality has been 1 bird in 150, less than 1%, it was always higher before using Avian Health. Plucking has been easier because they were better feathered and had a good bloom. We would not like to be without Avian Health for rearing our turkeys.
